YAS AMERICAN ACADEMY

At Yas American Academy, which is located on Yas Island, we follow the prestigious American Massachusetts State Curriculum. We are proud to boast state of the art facilities and a learning culture that is student-centred, enabling students to make phenomenal progress through inquiry-based learning and project-based classrooms. By exposing and challenging students to solve authentic real-world problems, we will empower them with the needed skills to be active change-makers, positioning them to engage with the challenges the 21st-century will present.

Yas American Academy is on a journey to become recognised as a school of character, developing a set of specific values to support our learning community. Using the ‘West Yas Way’ as our guiding principle, we look to develop values and virtues which develop students holistically, and provide them with skills and characteristics to enhance their ability to become leaders of our future generation. These values have been integrated into our curriculum, and the character traits we have focused on have already developed students to take accountability for facets that make them unique. Traits such as Integrity, Resilience, Reliability, Perseverance and Compassion have been brought to life through direct links with academic studies and our extensive pastoral provision to provide all students with an opportunity to develop and consolidate these skills.
